At LUMINAIRE EUROPE, we place particular importance on the safety and compliance of the products offered in our store.

The lights sold on our website are selected in accordance with the European requirements applicable to electrical equipment, particularly with regard to safety, electromagnetic compatibility and the restriction of hazardous substances.

CE marking

The CE marking indicates that a product meets the essential requirements set out in European regulations for safety, health and environmental protection.

For lighting, this mainly covers:

the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) relating to electrical safety,
the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (2014/30/EU),
the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

These requirements help ensure that products can be used safely under normal conditions of use.

Voltage and installation

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, our lights are designed for 220–240 V. Please check the voltage listed on the product page and make sure it suits your electrical installation before ordering.

We recommend having your lights installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.

Our lights are not presented as UL or ETL listed unless the product page explicitly says so.
